Over the last 20 years, ABMB has been privileged to work with the Louisiana Department of Natural Resources, the Louisiana Office of Coastal Protection & Restoration, and the Army Corps of Engineers on several award-winning projects. Earth stabilization and coastal projects have provided new and interesting challenges to our staff, while also allowing ABMB to play a role in the vital protection of cities, and restoration of crucial wetlands.
Recently, the firm provided geometrics, hydraulic analysis, drainage, earthwork, quantities and cost estimates for an aggressive 12-mile diversion channel project from the Comite River to the Mississippi, south of Zachary, Louisiana. This channel is being designed to protect nearby communities from possible devastating floods.
