ABMB was recently selected for a major sewer upgrade project as part of the Baton Rouge Sanitary Sewer Overflow (SSO) Program. In order to repair the continuing deterioration of the city’s aging sewer system, the project will consist of designing approximately 55,000 linear feet of new gravity main pipeline up to 42 inches in diameter, as well as 30,000 feet of force main up to 48 inches in diameter.
This project involves a highly trafficked area on and around U.S. 61/ Airline Highway; therefore, construction sequencing and traffic control will be major challenges in the planning phase. The firm tapped our in-house expertise, and the multi-disciplinary team has been able to develop a traffic plan that assures safety for both the community and project workers. The team’s expertise and due diligence will provide a seamless transition to the daily lives of persons in the community.
