SALT LAKE CITY - There was a public open house Thursday evening to discuss the major projects that have started or about to start in Taylorsville. "At 6200 South and Redwood, we're installing a continuous flow intersection to help with the east, west traffic and help with traffic at 6200 south getting on to I-215. In addition, there will be an auxiliary lane off 215 to go westbound on 6200 south during afternoon peak traffic," said Project Manager Brandon Weston.
There will also be work along Bangerter Highway. "On Bangerter, there's going to be two more continuous flow intersections. One at 4700 south and one at 5400 south, those again are to increase east, west traffic flow," Weston said.
Weston says there will also be a flex lane added to increase traffic flow. The construction projects will continue throughout the summer and will be finished by Fall. UDOT is asking drivers to be cautious around construction sites. "We'd like people to really slow down during the construction zones and keep these guys safe, so we can get out of here as soon as possible," Weston said.
