ABMB / Engineering Services / Environmental Services

Delivering results that help our clients succeed is a paramount goal at ABMB, and with almost any construction of new or expansion of existing infrastructure comes the need to consider the regulatory environmental issues of proposed projects. We have seen these needs grow over the years and have responded by developing in-house capability to deal with the complex environmental hurdles that can slow even the best-conceived projects if they are not addressed properly. Whether our client needs a Feasibility Study, an Environmental Assessment (EA) or a full-blown Environmental Impact Statement (EIS), our experienced environmental staff has the ability to assess your needs and work with in-house and select specialty providers to keep your project rolling toward a successful conclusion.

Our team of experienced professional engineers and highly trained support staff includes an ecologist, locations engineers, a complete survey group and mapping division and GIS technicians. Due to the fact that our firm contains in-house GIS, CADD, Transportation Engineering and Planning, Survey and Mapping as well as the Air and Noise and Biological Assessment Services, we are able to provide the rapid transfer of information, open communication and studies delivered that meet the expectations and standards of the agencies involved in the environmental review and permitting activities.

ABMB's Environmental Division recently worked directly with the Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) and the City of Madison, Mississippi to assist these two clients in fulfilling the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) process to identify and evaluate potential impacts. The work performed for these two clients involved the location and relocation of US highways, a railroad sidetrack and the relocation of two separate railroad lines. This process required a great deal of coordination with various agencies, including the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA).

Our staff is ready to work with you, the public and appropriate federal, state and local agencies to provide a successful solution to your environmental needs. Whether your situation requires GIS data collection and constraints mapping, ecology studies, wetland delineation, noise studies, assistance with permitting or archaeology studies, ABMB has the right team of professionals to clear these hurdles and deliver the total package of services our clients must have to achieve their goals.
