As one of the founding principals of ABMB, Steve oversees the daily operations of the Baton Rouge office and its staff. He has been the driving force in developing stringent guidelines for design and plan preparation, as well as creating and monitoring the company-wide Quality Management System.
A structural engineer by trade, Steve has overseen master plan studies involving structure-type comparisons, pier locations and feasibility studies. He has also been responsible for preliminary and final plan preparation, as well as specifications and cost estimates for a wide range of projects including grade separations, ramp structures, multi-level interchanges, stream and river crossings, and railroad crossings of various types. Additionally, he has worked as project liaison with state and federal review agencies.
Overseeing the Site Development team at ABMB and all Educational, Recreational and Institutional projects at ABMB, Steve’s work encompasses everything from site analysis and selection to storm water management and permitting. He has managed or overseen projects such as the new Woman’s Hospital campus on Airline Highway, Capitol Park in downtown Baton Rouge, the Baton Rouge General Bluebonnet Campus expansion, and the new Woodlawn High School in 2000.
In addition to these activities, Steve is an active member of the Baton Rouge Rotary Club and a deacon of his church.
